Welcome to my little corner of the world in Southern Oregon. My name is Amy and I’m so glad you stopped by!
I am a woman walking through life with the Lord directing my steps and this life I lead is what inspires my thoughts on this blog.
I am the wife to a wonderful man, the mother of two amazing sons, ages 26 and 23, and the survivor of a 20-year abusive marriage. Aside from being a wife and mother, I have worn many hats in my life, a few of which include being a Bradley Method certified childbirth educator, a doula, a midwifery student, a barista, and a medical assistant.
My first blog was started in 2009 as a way to begin healing after a separation and eventual divorce following a 20 year psychologically abusive marriage. The words on that blog, now disabled, were typed through tears, heartache and the hanging on we do when the journey seems never ending and hopeless. During those days of wandering in search of answers, I found my way back to the Lord and came to fully see that no matter what life brings my way, I can be grateful through it all and continue to praise Him.
My life has been full of joy and heartache, laughter and tears, as all lives are. And thankfully, the Lord has walked with me through it all and continues to shape and mold me into the woman He desires.
I look forward to sharing my thoughts, ideas and dreams, with a dash or two of encouragement and hope thrown in for all who find their way here.
